Communications Commission

From Wikimedia Hong Kong, the Local Wikimedia Chapter in Hong Kong

A resolution forming a Communications Commission for Wikimedia Hong Kong had passed the 1^st meeting of the 1^st Directory, to replace the Communications Committee of the Provisional Directory Era, according to article 4.13, the Articles of Association of Wikimedia Hong Kong Limited.

Mission

The mission of such Communications Commission (CommComm) is responsible for providing advice and material on the communication towards the general public and internal publics like Wikimedia Foundation and local Wikimedian Communities.

Tasks

• To provide advices & reminders to the Directory on Communication issue
• To alert the Directory whenever a possible PR or Communications crisis may occur between any publics & the chapter
• To gather & collection idea & opinions from all the publics & members of the chapter
• To take care of the management of the Press release and the Newsletter

Personnel

The Communications Commission is led by T. Y. Chan, Tango, one of the Directors, according to resolution passed on the 15^th meeting of the 1^st Directory.

The duties and works are handled by Administrative Assistants and Advisors. Current staff includes:
